Brief Description:  Wings are almost here

So Thursday is the big day! Heading down to Lewiston, New York with Stefan Chambers to pick up the kits. Stef and I decided to have our kits shipped together to minimize the shipping costs and then to bring it across the border ourselves to avoid those damn expensive brokerage fees. Stef is building an RV-7 and is smoking along and has his fuselage kit arriving with my wing kit.

I'm getting the garage sorted and cleaned tonight so that I can get the boxes in. I'm also building another storage rack/rafter section in the garage so that I can accomodate the wing skins and extra parts. I'm holding off anchoring the last wing stand into the concrete until I get the kit inventoried and put up out of the way.

Trying to do all this while painting in the house, removing baseboards, screwing down the sub floors to get rid of those pesky sqeaks before having the having new 3/4 inch hardwood installed. After that is done, I'm moving to the top floor of the house to do the same. Rip up carpet, screw sub floors, add and paint new base boards, and then have new carpet and oak floors installed. My bride has been waiting a long time for this to get done.

I'll be disappearing in the garage very soon, so I a happy wife, makes for a happy plane builder!! :)
